[Japan Travel]: Inuyama and Gifu
Finally it's time for the next travel entry!!
Sorry for the long wait (~_~)

Because of the Mt. Fuji dilemma we had to change our plans completely as you might remeber. We wanted to go to Inuyama the day before this, but as it was raining cats and dogs we had to stay in Nagoya.
Instead we did Inuyama and Gifu in ONE DAY! Nothing I'd recommend, but I wanted to visit both cities and we didn't have any more days left over, so no choice!
Luckily the weather was great and so I took my DSLR with me again :D (=> better quality)
It was a busy day, so expect tons of photos.

Here we go~

Inuyama and Gifu (August 13th, 2010):

We started out in Inuyama (犬山) which literally means "dog mountain".
Inuyama is probably most famous for its castle (which you also can see in this first photo).
"The only privately owned castle in Japan and one of the nicest original examples of feudal Japanese fortifications. Originally built in 1537 by Oda Nobuyasu, grandfather of Oda Nobunaga, the warlord who helped end the long civil war that preceded the Tokugawa Shogunate, Inuyama is one of a handful of castles designated a Japanese national treasure." (WikiTravel)

There's also an open-air museum called "Meiji Mura Museum". It's huge and you'd spend at least two hours there. I sooo wanted to go but as we also had to go to Gifu, there was just not enough time! :(

Actually we wanted to see 2 more castles, but ... )

That's all.
Next up: Our trip to Mt. Fuji. Soon you'll know if we were able to climb it, got to the top and could see the sunrise or not. Stay tuned!~

[Japan Travel]: Kyoto - Day 2 (Ginkakuji, Kiyomizudera, Heian)
For some reason I don't really feel like posting, but I promised, so here we go! (^-^)>
Maybe one of the most beautiful cherry blossom entries ever!!!
What do you think?

This time we decided to go to the famous "Philosopher's Path" near "Ginkakuji" (The Silver Temple), but we also stopped by at Heian Shrine and finally Kiyomizudera at night!

Kyoto Day 2 (April 6th, 2010):

Welcome to the cherry blossom path!~ )

And there's so much more!!! ^-^ )

Ginkakuji, Heian Shrine and Kiyomizudera )

And that's it.
Quite a long and image-heavy entry, I know.
Usually I would have split such an entry into 2 entries like I've done before several times.
I don't mind either way, but what about you? Some of you might have a slower internet connection, so this entry would kill your mind, ne? (^-^)'>

Please let me know what you think is better:

[Japan Travel]: Osaka in May (*-*)
Hallou~

It seems you'll have to wait a little bit longer for the next "travel entry" of my spring vacation, because I wanna post about my trip to Osaka (and Iga-Ueno the next time) last week first.
As most of you know I went to Osaka for 2 days, mainly to watch a movie and meet my NUMBER ONE Japanese star (*___*)
As it's really expensive to travel to Osaka from where I live I figured I should use this opportunity and plan a short trip as well.
The result: one day sightseeing in Osaka, one day in Iga-Ueno. The latter was really awesome and worth the money, but let's start with Osaka today (^-^)/

Osaka (May 13th, 2010):

temple, museum, castle, shrine - speed dating in Osaka?! XD )

What?? After meeting Toma you still had the strength to do some more sightseeing??? O___O; ... Where? Why? How? XD )

Osaka at night looks cool, don't ya think?

Osaka at night. View from the Umeda Sky Building )

The next morning I got up super early to leave for Iga-Ueno (Mie Prefecture) to see a castle and an old ninja school
Stay tuned for the next entry!

Comments are love!

[Japan Travel]: Kobe - Day 2
Hello~
Now, here's finally Day 2 of my Kobe trip (^-^)
It was a very busy day. I went to a lot of different places which involved a LOT OF train rides. I wasn't very lucky later on - it was quite horrible ... but the day ended with a Happy End nevertheless ... I guess ;P

Wada Shrine and the white snake! )

Byebye, Wada Shrine, there's still a lot more to see, so I had to hurry up XD

Did you know that there is a castle in Kobe? )

No cheese for me? Frozen body? But still a Happy End??? Huh??!!!! And what's the deal with the rainbow? )

Thanks for reading.

[Japan Travel]: Nagasaki - Day 2
Hey there,

so here is my 2nd day in Nagasaki (Kyuushuu, Japan).

Nagasaki - Day 2 (August 11th, 2008):

On this 2nd day I tried to go to some places I couldn't the first day and there were still a lot of things on my "to-see"-list. Nagasaki is definitely a city where 2 days of sightseeing aren't enough!

Temples, shrines, graveyards, random encounters, Chinatown )

Dejima and Dr. von Siebold + I wanna be a cat! )

Confucius Shrine, another Catholic church, port of Nagasaki + Mt. Inasa's AWESOME nightview! )

Anyway, that was my time in Nagasaki. I just went to bed pretty soon after that, and the next morning I already was on my way to Kumamoto (which will be featured XD in the next entry).
Hope you enjoyed it.

Bye-chuu~

[Japan Travel]: Nagasaki - Day 1
Okay,

I finally have some time (well actually not, but I just HAVE to do it ) to post pictures and a short report about my first day in Nagasaki.

Before I start a random note:

Exactly one year ago I came to Japan for the first time (back then for a 3 week vacation together with [livejournal.com profile] hesaki). Jesus, I can't believe that it's already ONE year AGO!!! Time sure is running (too) fast (as always).

There are some other things I'd like to blabber about, but that will have to wait until I have more time. Now I wanna get this entry done at least ;)

Enjoy

Nagasaki - Day 1 (August 10th, 2008):

In Nagasaki (Kyushu) I stayed 2 days and 2 nights. Of course I wanted to stay longer, but as I only had a 1 week vacation, that was not possible. I always wanted to go to Nagasaki, there are so many things and as I've already written in one of my previous posts, I really fell in love with that city. I envy all the people on my f-list that live there (I know there are some :D). Lucky you!
Anyway let's start the picspam ;)

Atomic Bomb Museum and Memorial Hall )

Ground zero, Peace Park, Catholic churches, Glover Garden )

I loves to was random XD )

Okay, time to take a shower and get comfy. It's already evening here in Japan :)

Bye-cha!~

Hope you look forward to the random rest XD

This time I have TONS of photos of Tokyo Tower by night and day. I really love Tokyo Tower ... and if you look at the amount of photos I took ... one might say I'm obsessed? XDDDD No, not really.
Anyway enjoy~
