[Japan]: Random rainy season entry ;P

Hello again! (^-^)/

I'm sorry if you expected the next Kyoto travel entry already, but not today, sorry!! Probably on Sunday!
Anyways, I'm just quickly posting a random update.

As I told you before, my laptop has been acting up a lot lately, so I decided I have to perform a formatting.
I've been preparing for that the last few days and I'm as good as done now. I'll perform it in a few hours. Let's hope everything will go well and I won't forget to save any IMPORTANT files *sigh*
Even my 320GB external drive is too small for a back-up (^-^'') .... it's time to buy an extra one to have an extra back-up on another external drive and to be able to easily move my data to there if I have to format again.
Around 500GB would be good. This one (Buffalo) looks so cute (unfortunately it's quite expensive ..):

I prefer WD (Western Digital), though. I already have a really tiny and awesome WD external drive I brought from Germany, but WD doesn't seem to be very common here in Japan. The only one I could find that fits my requirements was this and that's only for Mac users x___X

It's officially rainy season in Japan, so Poupée also started a "Rainy Event" (^-^)v Very cute!! <3

Well, .... according to the weather forecast it's not really rainy season, huh? But it's been raining ALMOST every day and seriously you can't trust Yahoo weather forecasts anyways! XD

Never mind. Let's get back to Poupée

I finally got one of those cute hugging plushies (the teddybear) and the black cat (*__*) although it's not what I was aiming for. The white hugging bunny seems to be impossible to get!!
It always ends up like this

I mean I'm willing to pay some money for it, but 3000jewels (aka 3000yen/30US$?????!!!!!!) ... *sigh*
Lately, Poupée fans have been discussing about Poupée getting too expensive for them and it's kinda true.
Not only the auctions can be crazy, what's really evil is the "new" Piyo catcher, a game just like the Japanese ufo catchers. You pay money, but you don't know what item you'll get in the end and you might end up with the same item again and again and again ......
Now, they've even added a so-called "bonus item" which means that you'll get it once you've collected all items that you can get in one catcher (usually 10).

It looks like this. For those of you who don't play the game, let me explain: "Ribbons" are not real money, it's what you collect through playing the game, but "jewels" are REALY MONEY! You have to pay in order to get jewels.
As you can imagine those catchers are rather addicting and some people ended up spending several 100 dollars!!! Crazy, huh?
I have to admit that with the latest pink lolita items I was tempted, too!!!! Sooooo cute!!! But 110 jewels per item when you might get doubles, triples etc???? NOOOOOOO!!! After all it's just pixles, right?
But everybody has to decide by themselves, ne? :3

The only time I spent some jewels was for this catcher that was luckily quite cheap. I also didn't collect all 10 items. After I got some doubles / triples, I stopped playing

I finally started playing the DS Poupée game as well (no, I don't have a Nintendo DS XD ....)
It looks like this:

Basically it's not much different from the online game!

You also receive messages from friends. (attention: good Japanese practice )

You also can dress up and get ribbons for it (no jewels here of course) and you get much more ribbons than in the "real game" XD

You can take part in contests. Or rather you SHOULD! In the normal game I never do, but here you'll get an extremely cute prize once you won all contests. And that cute prize will be something you wear in the REAL game!
I already got my first prize for winning my first contest a while ago. Now I'm aiming for a cute white bunny that sits on your shoulder - you'll receive it for the "online game" once you've collected 1000items in the DS game.

A huge difference to the "online game" is that you can talk to other Poupées you meet on the streets.
They'll often ask you for (fashion etc. related) advice etc. XD

Once a day, Kath has a fashion-related question for you. If you answer it correctly you'll get a dress-up item.

I'm not really a huge fan of games, so most of the time I just click quickly through the game in order to collect as many items as possible to get my hands on that cute white bunny XDDDDD
I know I could use it to read some more Japanese, but uhm ... the mails are boring and uhm ... yah XD
I just hope that all the data will be saved after formatting! I'm already up to 500 items!!! ;o;

COMPLETELY random (like this whole entry today, sorry! ), but I just wanted to show you what I got at the 100yen store a few days ago. I love Japanese 100yen stores!!!!

Rain coat (rainy season, d'uh!), kanji practice notebooks, a cute teddybear that will make my closet smell good XD and very cute socks that were actually in MY SIZE!! (note: those are men socks! XDDDDDD)

My normal slippers have become too warm for spring/summer, so I decided to buy these funny shoes for summer :D

And currently I'm wearing these inside my apartment. Very comfy <3 ... Hey, and for only 1$ you can't complain, can you??? :D

These are for good smell in my room!! (*___*)v The heart dice thingie smells extremely good!
The colorful bubbles thingie doesn't smell but gets rid of bad smell. So colorful (*__*)

Who's going to watch the Eurovision Song Contest 2010??? I'd love to, but it'll be like 4-5am here, so I can't ;o; ... and if you don't watch it live it's not as good.
Would you mind telling me about your countries contestant this year?
That's Germany's (^-^)>

Nice, but hmmmm ... nothing special. I guess Germany will be one of the last ones again this year?! XDDD
I miss "Lordi"!!! :D We need crazy people!!! XD

P.S.: Don't forget to check out my updated SALES ENTRY!!

And that's it!!! Going to eat yummie fruit cake and then continue with my formatting preparation.

That's interesting, thanks for sharing!!
Well, it seems my harddrive is broken or at least there seems to be some kind of hardware problem with it, so I might really just have to buy a new laptop soon ... but then I'll have no moneyZ for anything else ;o;
