[Japan Travel]: Bitchu-Takahashi + Kojima
Has it really been OVER 1 (O.N.E.!) month since my last travel entry???

I'm really sorry about that, but most of you know why!
I'm still working on my new blog project and it's finally going into a good direction and I'm slowly getting there (still lots of work involved from now on, though!)
Also, in less than 2 weeks (HOMG!) I'm off to Germany!
Anyways, doing all that coding, changing/improving my LJ design seems like a piece of cake now (but I'm too lazy and still quite content with the layout anways XD)...

Enough of my blabbering let's get started, there's a lot to show and explain, so get ready!~

Bitchu Takahashi (Okayama) (April 3rd 2011):

From Okayama to Takahashi: Raikyuji Temple and Hina Matsuri Exhibition )

And everything is so colorful!

Bitchu Matsuyama Castle: the highest castle above sea level in Japan! )

As you can see, the main tower isn't really big at all.

I hope you enjoyed this post.
Next up: Tsuyama (and then back to Okayama because I suck! )
I don't know when I'll be able to write the next travel post. I'm pretty sure that I won't have time before I leave for Germany where I'll stay for 2 weeks, so you might have to wait another month, but after that I'll be properly back, I swear! ;o; .....

I couldn't even finish this entry in one day! That's how busy I am.
Thanks for reading and being patient!

[Japan Travel]: Osaka and Uji (Kyoto)

I hope everybody is alright.
I'm back from my short Osaka trip and it was SO REFRESHING AND RELAXING!!! The best thing I could have done! I'm so glad I went!
I enjoyed 2 stage plays with Ikuta Toma (I'll write in detail about those in a separate entry soon!). I met [ profile] kanefunnn and we had a lot of fun, eating yummie food and talking a lot!
In those two days I was completely cut off of any news and I almost completely forgot what happened. Life in Osaka as well, went on as normal, it was great!

I left early in the morning on Thursday and arrived in Osaka around noon time. I had a quick lunch sitting in front of Osakajou Hall and then I went off to watch the stage play which took over 3 hours! Then I spent the rest of the day with [ profile] kanefunnn
In my hotel (super tired) I quickly checked out options for the next day because the other stage play wouldn't start before 7pm, enough time for some sightseeing. The "problem" was that I've already been to pretty much everything in Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Kobe. I wanted to go to Amanohashidate (again!), but as I only had half a day, that would have been too short. In the end I decided to go to Uji in Kyoto (famous for its green tea ) and it was great!!
I took some photos in Osaka as well as in Uji to show you how normal life in the rest of Japan is! I hope that calms a few people down, though, things seem to have calmed down anyways?!

Osaka (March 17th 2011) + Uji (March 18th 2011):

Osaka! Long time no see!! )

Uji City in Kyoto!~ )

Well, as you can see I've completely calmed down for now.
This trip was great! Things seem to have calmed down in general. I think and I hope they'll get the other reactors under control soon. They even found some people alive in the disaster zone. That's so great! ;o;
I think it's too early to say things are safe, but I stopped worrying for now and it feels good!
So many people I know left the country in the last few days, some were forced to by their companies or Embassies, it seems. (though you always can reject! )
I won't leave this country unless it's really necessary. I would have left Tokyo if I lived there and moved further to the Southwest of Japan as some people did. That's still cheaper and less drastic than buying an expensive plane ticket.
Funny thing is that some people who told me that I'm panicking to much have left the country already while I'm still here! XD
Anyways, hope everybody is doing fine and thanks so much for caring so much!!! ^_____^ You guys are GREAT!!!!

[Japan Travel]: Shimonoseki

As you know I'm super busy and will be extremely busy in November, so before this gets outdated, I thought I better post it NOW!!!
So, here's the last travel entry of my summer vacation 2010!~

This trip my brother and me did when I was already back at work. My brother stayed for a few days while travelling alone. Then, when I finally had a day off, we went on yet another trip together.
This time to a spot that connects Honshu (the main island) with Kyushu: Shimonoseki

Shimonoseki (August 19th, 2010):

Let the journey begin!~ )

Where Honshu meets Kyushu! )

Be aware: Blowfish invasion!!! )

After that we went back home.
My brother had to leave the next day. I think he really enjoyed Japan but did regret that he came during summer. Next time he'd love to come in spring which is a good idea, I think XDDD
Probably he won't have enough money to come again, though ;o;

And that's the end of my travel entries .... no, of course NOT!!! Just of the ones about my summer vacation 2010!!!
There's a small surprise awaiting you! Not sure when I'll be able to post about it, though.
Stay tuned.

Am off to bed now (x____x)/~

[Japan Travel]: Kyoto - Day 1 (Arashiyama)

It's been a while, but let's finally continue with my spring trip.
After leaving Onomichi and Fukuyama, I finally arrived in Kyoto where I met my friends from Germany and where I spent most of my spring vacation.
I've been to Kyoto before, so I've seen the main attractions already. But Kyoto has to offer so much that I guess even after going there for the 100th, there'll still be things you haven't seen/discovered yet!

Kyoto Day 1 (April 5th, 2010):

Welcome to the flower and monkey paradise!!!~ )

One of these days I have to buy my own Tanuki! (*____*)v

Give me money, so I can ride a rickshaw, too!!! :/ )

And that was my first (not very busy) day in Kyoto.
Please stay tuned for day 2 when we went to the Philosopher's Path (with millions of cherry blossom trees ) and Ginkakuji, Kyomizudera (<- at night when it was illuminated!!)
Thanks for reading and thanks for your comments! They're appreciated!

[Japan Travel]: Kobe - Day 2
Now, here's finally Day 2 of my Kobe trip (^-^)
It was a very busy day. I went to a lot of different places which involved a LOT OF train rides. I wasn't very lucky later on - it was quite horrible ... but the day ended with a Happy End nevertheless ... I guess ;P

Wada Shrine and the white snake! )

Byebye, Wada Shrine, there's still a lot more to see, so I had to hurry up XD

Did you know that there is a castle in Kobe? )

No cheese for me? Frozen body? But still a Happy End??? Huh??!!!! And what's the deal with the rainbow? )

Thanks for reading.

[Japan Travel]: Tokuyama and Iwakuni
Hello again,

before I start posting photos from Thursday (which was the only day in ages when it was NOT raining!), I wanna talk about the "rain" and everything it causes here lately once again.
First of all, the water is still not back in my apartment. It has been FOUR DAYS now without water! FOUR DAYS!!!!
I found on a Japanese news site that they plan on giving everybody their water back at the latest on Tuesday next week. That means 2 more days without water.
rain rant .... )

Thursday was a SUNNY day -> Tokuyama )

Because there's nothing much to see in Tokuyama and it was such a nice day, I decided to go to Iwakuni which is like 3 hours away by local train from where I live, but you have to pass Tokuyama anyway, so I almost was half way there then ;)

Iwakuni (岩国) is a city located in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
It's especially famous for "Kintaikyou" (錦帯橋) (the bridge you can see in the photo above). There's also a castle and some other interesting things :)
It's a popular sightseeing spot for people who're in Hiroshima, because it's close and thus worth a day trip :)
The bridge is famous because of its shape and because it's wooden.

More photos of the bridge, the Kikko park, the white snakes and Iwakuni castle~ )

As it was really hot outside and my head started to hurt (a long time ago already), I decided to take a break and eat something cold.
イチゴかき氷 (shaved ice with strawberry syrup and condensed milk) => SUPER YUMMIE!!! (*_*)v

[Japan Travel]: Naruto - Day 1

It's been a while again. Maybe I have time to post some more tomorrow, but today I wanna continue with the photos of my spring trip.
Today it'll be Naruto. And yes, that's where the anime series got its name from.
I'm so glad that I went. It was awesome and I didn't have enough time to see everything ;o; ...... I hope I can go some other time again :)

Naruto - Day 1 (April 8th, 2009):

Naruto and the whirlpools )

And I stayed until after sunset <3 )

And that was my first day in Naruto, with basically only one sightseeing spot, but an AWESOME one!
The next day I had to leave in the early afternoon to go back home, but I used the last few hours to see as much as possible.
You'll see soon :)
Hope you're looking forward to my last day of spring vacation 2009 (^-^)/

[Japan Travel]: Kôchi - Day 1
Hello again! ⊂((〃 ̄ー ̄〃))⊃

It's time for another travel photo session, I guess.
After I left Matsuyama (which was my first stop in Shikoku), I moved on to Kôchi (高知).
It's a rather small city, some parts are very inaka-like and they are definitely not very used to (foreign) tourists there. I also had a chance to meet [ profile] nightstar there twice which was a lot of fun (^-^)v

Kochi - Day 1 (April 6th, 2009):

I was attacked by Anpanman trains ;o; .... )

Kôchi Castle, manga street, love bridge, kaiten-zushi, sorry town and scary ou-sama games?! )

It was a little bit scary, but also a really nice atmosphere (*___*)
After that I went back to my hotel to sleep (*-*)

The next day I did quite a lot, maybe too much.
You'll see soon. Hope you're looking forward to my day 2 in Kochi.
