[Japan Travel]: Kurashiki (Okayama)
Hello!~

It's finally time for another travel entry!! Yay!~
So, after visiting Kagawa Prefecture on Shikoku for only 2 days, I was back on the main island (Honshu) in Okayama.
Because I've already been to the main attractions in Okayama city years ago, I went for some other sites this time.
First destination was: Kurashiki

Kurashiki is especially well-known for its various museums, but is also worth a visit because of the canal area and all the nice and old buildings around it!!
Welcome to the Venice of Japan?!

Kurashiki (Okayama) (April 2nd 2011):

Off to Canal City! XD )

Somehow you just can't get enough of this awesome atmosphere!

Swan eggs, insects in hospitals and cherry blossom trees in side streets!! )

Next up is: Bitchu Takashashi (with Matsuyama Castle) and Kojima

As this is related to today's travel entry, let me have a short poll because I'm just curious: Chinese Zodiac

[Poll #1751263]

That's all for today.
Thanks so much for reading!

P.S.: If anybody ever wondered, it took me over 2.5h to write this entry!!!!!! (x___X)

Coming up next: -nothing yet- (BUT spring vacation is around the corner, yay!!~ )

P.S.: For some time now my LJ Scrapbook sucks since the last LJ update! All my travel photos are uploaded to my LJ Scrapbook and they load so slow since a few days. I'm truly sorry and I hope LJ will notice and fix it soon *annoyed*

[Japan Travel]: Kawaguchiko - Day 2
Hello!~

It's my first day off in what feels like ages and I've been super busy even when not at work, thus the lack of entries. At least I try to keep my travel entries coming.
Thanks for being so patient with me
Anyways here we go~

Kawaguchiko - Day 2 (December 30th 2010):

As I already mentioned in my previous entry, I feared that the weather forecast would be true (cloudy/rainy the whole day ) and thus I got up extremely early (around 5:30am) because there was a slight chance that it would be still clear in the morning.

After a very short and cold night I woke up and saw this from the window of my hotel room. It looked better than I'd expected and so I ate my breakfast quickly and then left to take one of the first trains.

Race against the clouds!~ )

Huh? Where's Mt. Fuji??!!! )

Thanks a lot for reading and commenting!!

German stuff here and there, but no German bread for me!! ;o; ... )

And that's it. After that I already sat in the train to Nara. Quite a short train ride. Quite a lot of people so I had to stand (x___x)/
A really short entry this time as it was only half a day. I hope you're looking forward to Nara (*__*)v

[Japan Travel]: Kobe - Day 1 (part 1)
Okay,
after the last few random entries, let's continue with photos of my winter vacation (*_*)
After Fukuoka I went to Kobe. It was my first time in Kobe and I enjoyed it really a lot. I also didn't know that Nara, Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe are THAT close to each other. It's really convenient and MAYBE I wanna live there one day (but then again, Kyushu (Nagasaki etc.) would be nice as well) [/random blabbering]
Kobe has SOME similarities with Nagasaki (and some of you might remember that I REALLY fell in love with Nagasaki). It also has a port that was opened for foreign ships during the Meiji era, so even nowadays there are some foreign styled buildings, Catholic churches etc. :)
That day was kind of eventful, so I have to split it into 2 entries again (over 100 photos in one entry would be too much, right? XD )
Here we go:

Kobe - Day 1 - part 1 (January 2nd, 2010):

Walk with me along the Flower Road ^-^ )

 And that's one of the best things I came across!!!!! A Starbucks in an old Western・style building!!!!! WOOT!!! Unfortunately they were still closed when I passed by ;o;
More info here (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] pikapikaman )

Huh? Wait! I thought you were travelling through JAPAN not Europe??!! o__O )

Okay, I have to stop here. (-_-) I hope you enjoyed it also there was not much "Japan" in this post, I guess (^-^')>
Stay tuned for part 2 (which hopefully will be up in a few days) in order to answer questions like:
Did I ever find the "German House"? Did I eat Kobe beef? Was it expensive? Was it good? Did I bring some for you guys?
Was there an earthquake? Did I freeze at night or did I get some nice night shots of Kobe port?

Thanks for reading!

[Japan Travel]: Matsuyama - Day 2
And here we go again ^-^

I stayed 3 days in Matsuyama (maybe 1 day too long), so I decided to use day 2 as my "break day" (it seems I always need one day where I don't do too much to recover again XD
It was raining almost the whole day anyway, so it was a good thing I decided not to do that much that day.
I still visited a few things and went shopping (*_*)

Matsuyama - Day 2 (April 4th, 2009):

Rain can't stop me?! )

Lunch time? Shopping arcade! Freiburg Garden! Starbucks (*-*) )

And that was my day 2 in Matsuyama.
I told you that it wouldn't be very interesting. Hope you enjoyed it nevertheless.
Day 3 was full of awesomeness again (so expect at least twice as much photos as today XD)

[Japan Travel]: Nagasaki - Day 2
Hey there,

so here is my 2nd day in Nagasaki (Kyuushuu, Japan).

Nagasaki - Day 2 (August 11th, 2008):

On this 2nd day I tried to go to some places I couldn't the first day and there were still a lot of things on my "to-see"-list. Nagasaki is definitely a city where 2 days of sightseeing aren't enough!

Temples, shrines, graveyards, random encounters, Chinatown )

Dejima and Dr. von Siebold + I wanna be a cat! )

Confucius Shrine, another Catholic church, port of Nagasaki + Mt. Inasa's AWESOME nightview! )

Anyway, that was my time in Nagasaki. I just went to bed pretty soon after that, and the next morning I already was on my way to Kumamoto (which will be featured XD in the next entry).
Hope you enjoyed it.

Bye-chuu~

[Japan Travel]: Nagasaki - Day 1
Okay,

I finally have some time (well actually not, but I just HAVE to do it ) to post pictures and a short report about my first day in Nagasaki.

Before I start a random note:

Exactly one year ago I came to Japan for the first time (back then for a 3 week vacation together with [livejournal.com profile] hesaki). Jesus, I can't believe that it's already ONE year AGO!!! Time sure is running (too) fast (as always).

There are some other things I'd like to blabber about, but that will have to wait until I have more time. Now I wanna get this entry done at least ;)

Enjoy

Nagasaki - Day 1 (August 10th, 2008):

In Nagasaki (Kyushu) I stayed 2 days and 2 nights. Of course I wanted to stay longer, but as I only had a 1 week vacation, that was not possible. I always wanted to go to Nagasaki, there are so many things and as I've already written in one of my previous posts, I really fell in love with that city. I envy all the people on my f-list that live there (I know there are some :D). Lucky you!
Anyway let's start the picspam ;)

Atomic Bomb Museum and Memorial Hall )

Ground zero, Peace Park, Catholic churches, Glover Garden )

I loves to was random XD )

Okay, time to take a shower and get comfy. It's already evening here in Japan :)

Bye-cha!~
