I just left Hiroshima today after a 2-night stay. I'm an American and the entire time was unable to shake the feeling of "uneasiness". I guess guiltlessness was another victim of the war. My other travelers didn't seem TOO bothered, though.
I agree with quinnsan, Miyajima is awesome! The island is gorgeous and you can do a lot of shopping or shrine visiting. The deer are crazy, too.
