I don't see this as a problem.
There are TONS of series I've never finished and I don't plan to. If something is not interesting, even if all others seem to like it, just toss it. I never could watch Inuyasha or Kenshin etc. ^^;; .... tried a few times, just nope.
There's too many series and so little time, so just stick with the ones you're really interested in. *g*
