[Anime]: "Recently" watched list (it's long ... ^^; ..)

Hey!~

Okay, I wanted to post the few series I had recently watched for the longest time now, but as most of you know I simply have no time.
And .... that's why this list has become SUPER long by now and by "recently" I mean within the last 12 months. ^^

I apologize about the length of this entry beforehand, but I really don't want to split it up or I'll never ever post about it.
So, please bear with me and all the screencaps. ^^;; ....

I tried to sort them somewhat by genre (not by the order I actually watched them or by popularity).
I also would love to write a lot more than I actually do, but I'm sure you understand that it would be way too much for one entry.
However, feel free to ask if you want to know a bit more about a specific series or share your personal opinion about something you've watched.

Shoujo Series:

Ao Haru Ride

Ao Haru Ride is a really nice shoujo anime. Very cute and I especially liked the main male character Kou (cat lover!!!! aaah!! and that voice!!).
They used to know each other in junior high and seemed to really like each other, but then he moved away.
She's meeting him again in high school without first realizing it's him.

Story:
"Now in high school, Futaba is not your typical adolescent girl. Determined to become a class favorite this time, she avoids all unwanted attention and, instead of acting cute and feminine, only stands out through her tomboyish behavior and disheveled look. But still, her world is soon turned upside down when the only boy she ever liked unexpectedly comes into her life once again—except he goes by the name of Kou Mabuchi now, and it is not his name alone that has gone through a change." (read more)

It's really a lovely story and I don't want to spoil the fun, but this is certainly one of the better shoujo anime I've seen recently.
So good that I was motivated enough to continue with the manga as the anime doesn't finish the story. And I wish I hadn't because I don't like how the manga continues...

Trailer

Kaicho wa maid-sama

I've heard about this series many, many times, but I wasn't fully aware that it was a shoujo series. For some reason I always thought it's more of a "ecchi series" aimed at a male audience. XDDD ...
Probably because of the title .....

Needless to say that it didn't take long for me to completely fall for the series. The two main characters are exactly the way I like "my" charaters. A strong, stubborn, but cool female character and an even cooler, seme-like (=foreful and ijiwaru) and mystery type of guy. *g*

Story:
"Being the first female student council president isn't easy, especially when your school just transitioned from an all boys high school to a co-ed one. Aptly nicknamed "Demon President" by the boys for her strict disciplinary style, Misaki Ayuzawa is not afraid to use her mastery of Aikido techniques to cast judgment onto the hordes of misbehaving boys and defend the girls at Seika High School.
Yet even the perfect Ayuzawa has an embarrassing secret—she works part-time as a maid at a maid café to help her struggling family pay the bills. She has managed to keep her job hidden from her fellow students and maintained her flawless image as a stellar student until one day, Takumi Usui, the most popular boy in school, walks into the maid café. He could destroy her reputation with her secret... or he could twist the student council president around his little finger and use her secret as an opportunity to get closer to her."

Besides the two main characters there are so many other funny, cute and interesting characters.
As always I was attracted by my beloved "Kansai-ben" and couldn't resist a certain character. Ahem ...

Aoi-chan ... -kun is definitely also one of my favorite characters. At first I thought he/she was annoying always dressing up like a girl, but once he gets older, he's really one adorable character! :D
(And he reminds me of someone, but I still haven't figured out who ...)

Unrequited love, teasing, friendship and lots of lovable characters. No wonder the series is so popular.
Of course, I continued with the manga as the anime ends way too early. I enjoyed the manga as well, but to be honest it got a bit boring towards the end ... or is it just me? ^^;

Short Clip

Kimi ni todoke

I don't know how that happened, but for some reason I always thought I had already watched / read "Kimi ni todoke", probably confusing it with "Bokura ga ita" or something like that. Don't ask me why!!
I feel like hitting myself for being so stupid!

LUCKILY I figured it out eventually, because otherwise I would have missed one of the most fluffy and heartwarming shoujo series ever! ^___^

Story:
"Kuronuma Sawako is completely misunderstood by her classmates. Her timid and sweet demeanor is often mistaken for malicious behavior. This is due to her resemblance to the ghost girl from "The Ring," which has led her peers to give her the nickname Sadako. Longing to make friends and live a normal life, she is naturally drawn to Kazehaya Shouta, the most popular guy in class, whose "100% refreshing" personality earns him great admiration from Sawako. So when Kazehaya starts talking to her, maybe there is hope for the friendships Sawako has always longed for. Maybe... there is even a little hope for some romance in her future." (read more)

Watching "Kimi ni Todoke" always made me feel relaxed. It's like you're diving into a happy-go-lucky world. The relationship between Sawako and Kazehaya is soooo cute! They're both so shy that you sometimes feel like banging your head against a wall when watching them.
The colors, the drawing style and the opening songs all add to the "relaxing" atmosphere. You just want to be part of that rather "peaceful" world. ^^

And one thing that I really liked about this series is that it ALSO focuses a lot on friendship between girls - which I often missed in other shoujo series (at least to that degree). There are so many scenes that make you wanna cry! ^___^;

Needless to say that you NEED to continue with the manga once the anime is over. It's STILL ongoing and so much more is about to happen and OMG I think I'm slowly falling for Pin (the teacher) ... not saying more as I don't wanna spoil, but there's NO WAY you wouldn't like this series, so GO AND WATCH / READ IT RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!~

Trailer

Skip Beat

Again for some reason I thought I already knew this series. I've certainly seen it all over and was sure I've already seen it.
Then FINALLY after over 10+ years later I had a peek at it and realized I didn't know it at all!!!!!!! WTH?????? T____T ........

I'm still currently consuming this series (anime finished, manga not) and it might become one of my all-time favorites (in the shoujo genre at least).

At a first glance I noticed immediately one of my favorite voices ever (Mamo-chan!) and was already sold. Yeah, I'm simple-minded like that. But after just a few minutes I couldn't stop laughing and the series had already my full attention! ^^
And it only got better and better from then on!!!!

Story:
We get to know Kyoko, the main character, who seems to be a super hard-working girl. At the same time she also seems to be a fanatic fan of a handsome singer called Fuwa Sho.
At first it's not quite clear why she's working so hard. But we soon learn that she's actually Fuwa Sho's childhood friend and in order to support him, she's doing EVERYTHING for him.

Until one day she overhears a conversation that Sho has with his female manager, belittling Kyoko saying that he is lucky to have such a stupid girl around that does everything for him, but he doesn't feel anything for a boring girl like her.
Kyoko left her home town Kyoto and dropped out of school to follow Sho to Tokyo and support him. They grew up together. She's hurt, but her feelings turn into hatred immediately and she declares war. She claims to enter the showbiz world reaching the top before Sho does. That will be her revenge on him.
She changes her appearance and enters a different agency. But she fails the audition.

But the president of the agency sees something in her and so he creates a special department called "Love Me Department". She has to earn points by helping others and has to wear a ridiculous pink uniform.
Kyoko hates it but she wants to take revenge no matter what.

At the agency there's also another talent, a great actor called Ren. Fuwa Sho actually hates him because he's more popular than him.

It doesn't take long and Kyoko gets more and more popular. Thanks to her senpai Ren she's getting more and more interested in acting.

I don't want to spoil you with more details, but it's SUCH a funny and interesting story! So many secrets!
So many hot guys! And yet far from a plain story! I love how we all learn more about acting and how Kyoko develops into a great actress.

You can probably already figure it out, but at some point Sho notices what he has lost and becomes interested in Kyoko. But Ren is also interested in her.
And then there's suddenly another ikemen appearing! What's going on? ;)

I cannot imagine that anyone wouldn't enjoy Skip Beat!
I've laughed tears so many times! Especially Kyoko's angry aura is so damn funny!
I have no idea why the anime was so short and never got a second season when the series is so popular and the manga is still ongoing with so many volumes (37+)!
You HAVE to continue with the manga. I'm currently in the middle of it and it only gets better and better!!!!!~

Errrm .... and I just cannot get enough of Mamo-chan when he's singing and being an asshole. *faints* .... [/random fangirling]

Opening

Sukitte ii na yo

I was in a shoujo mood for a while, especially after watching so many good ones, so I tried out this one as well.
While it was not bad, it didn't really click with me. So, I decided not to continue with the manga. No idea if the manga is more interesting than the anime.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not telling you not to watch / read it, but there's better stuff out there you should prioritize. ;)

Story:
"Friends suck, and trusting someone is just setting yourself up. That's the lesson Mei Tachibana learned after her heart was ripped out and only a shell was left where a girl used to be. But unlike so many, she found an easy solution: she'll never make another friend. Ever.
Okay, maybe that's not as easy as it sounds, but it's worked for Mei - or at least, it did until handsome, charming and annoyingly popular Yamato Kurosawa came along. For some freakish reason, he seems to like Mei."

Trailer

Tonari no kaibutsu-kun

I guess I tried this one for the same reason as the previous one. I was in a "shoujo phase" and I really liked the animation style when I saw some screencaps.

Hm. It's certainly not what you might expect. It's not your typical shoujo story ... which makes it interesting! ^^;

Story:
"Nicknamed "Dry Ice," Shizuku is seen as emotionless and cold by her classmates. When she's tasked with delivering class printouts, she runs into Haru, who immediately decides that they're friends. Shizuku is touched by his innocence and his lack of knowledge towards human relationships.
Though known as a violent and uncontrollable monster, Haru also has a kind and gentle side. He immediately declares his love for Shizuku, but it takes much longer for her to realize and accept her own feelings towards him. Together, the two previously unsocial beings help each other learn how to care for others and make friends."

It's certainly different. Like there's a kiss in the first episode and Haru even punches Shizuku here and there ... though not on purpose. XD .....
I'm not sure how I feel about this series yet. I did like it, but haven't attempted to read the manga to see how the story continues .... ^^;

Trailer

Wolf Girl and Black Prince (Okami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji)

This series is what I'd call a typical shoujo series. Nothing special, but not bad either. Quite nice for "in between".

Story:
"The story centers around Erika Shinohara, a vain 16-year-old girl who tells her friends about her romantic exploits, but she actually has no boyfriend. She claims that a handsome boy in a candid photo is her boyfriend, but it turns out that boy is a schoolmate named Kyouya Sata. She has no choice but to make him her fake boyfriend. Unfortunately, Sata may look like a sweet person, but he is actually an ultra-black-hearted sadist. Sata takes advantage of Erika's weakness and treats her like his dog." (read more)

Trailer

Reversed Harem Series:

I'm a sucker for reversed harem series (= 1 girl, lots of handsome guys), but I have yet to find a really good one ... ^^;; ...

Diabolik Lovers (Season 1 + 2)

One interesting thing is that I really love "real life" vampire series and movies, but I have yet to find a vampire anime I can enjoy. For some reason it just doesn't click with me.
I even find it disgusting. O_O; .... I wonder why.

Yet I tried watching this series. One episode is only a bit over 10 minutes long, so it's easy to consume even if you have barely any time.

Story: .....
To be honest there is none.
There are a lot of good-looking male vampires who all try to feed off that poor little girl called Yui.
Though each of them has a different nickname for her. Nobody actually calls her Yui.

All of them have pretty messed-up characters as well.

Don't ask me why I even watched season 2. Maybe because I was hoping that something might actually happen ... like ... a plot or anything? Story, anyone? *sigh*
And the funniest thing is that I would watch a third season. HELP!!! o_O; .....

So, I'm not sure what I should tell you about this series and whether I'd recommend it or not. ^^;; .... *sigh*

Trailer

Dance with Devils

A human girl who attracts a lot of handsome guys ... but those are actually vampires and demons! Yet they hide in a human form at her school.
But her handsome brother comes for her rescue. He's an exorcist and would never let anyone touch his beloved younger sister .... only that he has a ... secret!

Actually this series wasn't THAT bad, but what turned me completely off was all that singing and dancing in between! It was like a musical! Like a Disney movie! And totally out of place!! T_T
But as I wanted to know how things unfold, I kept watching!! ^^;
Like why Ritsuka is so attractive to vampires and demons .......

Trailer

Hiiro ni kakera (Season 1)

Ermm .... I barely could finish this one. For some reason I found it extremely boring.
This reminds me of a very bad copy of "Fushigi Yuugi". I know there are a lot of series who have a similar theme, but I have the feeling that most of them fail.
There's also a second season, but I didn't even bother ... ^^;
But maybe that's just my personal taste?

Story:
"Every girl dreams of being an enchanted princess, but how many stop to think about all the grim and horrible things that happen in fairy tales? That's a lesson Tamaki learns all too graphically when she's attacked by creatures she thought only existed in myths! Fortunately, she's rescued by an extraordinary young man: one who's not only part demon; but her future classmate as well, and one of the group of protectors that Tamaki will need if she's going to fulfill her destiny as a Tamayori princess." Comedy Series:

Actually wasn't quite sure how to categorize the following series. ^^; ...

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no majo

I remember watching one episode of the jdrama on TV by accident once and became interested, but it wasn't until recently that I finally got around to watch the anime.
It's a really hilarious series involving a lot of kissing ... but not in a way you'd expect!!!! *g*

Story:
"Ryuu Yamada is known as a delinquent in his high school; he has been bored of classes after one year of attending school. One day, he accidentally falls from a flight of stairs onto Urara Shiraishi, the ace student of the school. Yamada wakes up to find that he has swapped bodies with her! The two try to reverse the change and discover that kissing triggers the body swap. On the suggestion of student council vice-president Toranosuke Miyamura, they revive the Supernatural Studies Club. The club encounters other "witches" with different powers that are activated with a kiss!" (read more)

Like mentioned there's also a jdrama, so if you're not so much into anime, maybe try that one instead? The story is pretty much the same. ;)

Trailer

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun

A truly funny series about creating manga. In that it has similarities to "Bakuman", but yet is completely different.

Story:
"High school student Chiyo Sakura has a crush on schoolmate Umetarou Nozaki, but when she confesses her love to him, he mistakes her for a fan and gives her an autograph. When she says that she always wants to be with him, he invites her to his house and has her help on some drawings. Chiyo discovers that Nozaki is actually a renowned shoujo manga artist named Sakiko Yumeno. She then agrees to be his assistant in order to get closer to him. As they work on his manga, they encounter other schoolmates who assist them or serve as inspirations for characters in the stories." (read more)

And those other schoolmates and their relation to each other = super hilarious! You get everything! A shy ikemen, a tomboy, a girl-prince .... and lots of craziness! ;P
It's hard to describe, you gotta watch it! I definitely want MORE!~

And we have a special voice guest doing the male main character in the manga series that is drawn by Nozaki ... mwahahaha!~ ... ;P

Trailer

Ore Monogatari

Watch it! Now!
Actually I don't think I need to tell you more than that, but maybe you're not satisfied yet? ;)

Story:
"With his muscular build and tall stature, Takeo Gouda is not exactly your average high school freshman. However, behind his intimidating appearance hides a heart of gold, and he is considered a hero by the boys for his courage and chivalry. Unfortunately, these traits do not help much with his love life. As if his looks are not enough to scare the opposite sex away, Takeo's cool and handsome best friend and constant companion Makoto Sunakawa easily steals the hearts of the female students—including every girl Takeo has ever liked.
When Takeo gallantly saves cute and angelic Rinko Yamato from being molested, he falls in love with her instantly, but suspects that she might be interested in Sunakawa. With his own love for Yamato continuing to bloom, Takeo unselfishly decides to act as her cupid, even as he yearns for his own love story."

This series is so cute and surely different from what you usually see. It's like a shoujo series, but told from a guy's perspective - and not ANY guy! ;P
On the other hand, there's no romance for the super ikemen. *g*

Sunakawa reminds me soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much of Taichi (Chihayafuru) it almost hurt. T_T ....

There's also a drama and movie. Have yet to check these out. I saw the posters all over when I was in Japan a few months ago. ^^

I truly hope for a second season! And a third! And and and .... ;)

Trailer

Sakurasou no pet na kanojo

Actually I saw one screenshot somewhere (the very last one down there on the right *coughs*) and became interested.
I thought this might be a typical "ecchi series" aimed mainly at guys, but ever since "Toradora" I'm less biased. ;P
I remember that I used to enjoy this genre a long time ago, but thinking back now, I found it rather boring (series like Love Hina, Onegai Teacher). So, I'm usually really biased now and rather go for other genres, but luckily every now and then there are series I quite enjoy and "Sakurasou" was definitely one of them.

Story:
Sorata is a normal student, but he just cannot leave stray cats alone. Unfortunately they're not allowed in the school dorm and that's how he eventually ends up at "Sakurasou", a dorm for "special" students with "difficulties" .....
He has difficulties fitting in at first, but slowly gets used to it. One day suddenly another weird person starts living there. Sorata becomes in charge of taking care of this girl called Mashiro. And she really needs to be taken care of ....

The series is so cute. The characters are weird, but lovable. Romance, friendship .... I even had tears in my eyes in the end which I totally didn't expect. ;P

(One of my favorite characters was actually the shut-in that we rarely got to see until the end, see screencap on the left. *g*)

Poor Sorata has a hard time with his weird dorm mates. ;P
Also .... voice maniac me has totally fallen for Sorata's voice (actually I was sold in his previous role which comes later in this entry, so stay tuned ....). Holy crap. Definitely making it into my top 5 voice actors! (*_*)b

Trailer

Other:

Sorry ... I actually got lazy categorizing the rest. ;P

High School Star Musical

High School Star Musical is also known as "Starmyu". This was quite the surprise. I enjoyed it A LOT! If you liked "UtaPuri", then there's no way you'd hate this one.
In fact, I think I actually liked this one even more. The main difference is that there are no girls. UtaPura is a reversed harem series after all.
I'm missing my favorite voice actor in this one, BUT a few of my other top voice actors are in there (some of them were also in UtaPuri), so all is good (to name the two most important: Junichi Suwabe and Yohimasa Hosoya - got totally hooked ever since Kuroko no Basuke and he's been pretty much everywhere ever since :333 ...)

Short Clip // Trailer

Hamatora (Season 1 + 2)

This is also a series I kind of stumbled upon and immediately found interesting. It's way too short as I think there would be so much more to tell, but I still recommend it despite it being so short. ;P
The only "downside" might be the names of the characters such as "Nice" or "Birthday". I remember how people got all confused when I tweeted about this series, haha! XD

Story:
""Minimum"— Otherwise known as "small miracles", is a special power that only manifests within a few, select humans. Those who possess this ability are called "Minimum Holders."
The detective duo of Nice and Murasaki, otherwise known as "Hamatora," wait again today for work with their friends at a table at Cafe Nowhere that they use as their agency. Suddenly, a job they receive seems to have a weird connection with the serial killer that their police friend, Art, is searching for."

While maybe not new, I liked the idea of "minimum holders" quite a lot. The character design is also very pleasing and there are some very unique and interesting characters.
And there's no way one wouldn't start shipping "Ratio" and "Birthday"! (*___*) .... I don't wanna spoil the fun, but awwwwwww~ ....
(I think I have a thing for charas who use electricity as a weapon ... Pikachu, Killua, Kakashi, Sasuke, Birthday .... aha....)
And what was a bit scary is that I once imagined my ideal male anime chara and Nice's design is soooo damn similar to that that it freaks me out like WOAH! O_O; .... (wouldn't be my ideal chara nowadays, though)

Personally I enjoyed the series, so I'd recommend it. :)

Trailer

Shokugeki no Souma (Food Wars)

Mwahahaha, this series is evil!
I noticed it was everywhere when I visited Japan a few month ago, so I gave it a try once back home.

At first I struggled a bit with this series. I thought it was a bit too exaggerated ... like the "ecchi" scenes when someone enjoys food. XD
But I quickly got dragged in as it is TRULY exciting and you want to know how things go on. If you've ever watched "Yakitate Japan" and liked it, you'll enjoy this one for SURE!

And this is when I first came across one of my newest top voice actors: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (as in Rin Matsuoka??? *lolZ*..... [/fangirl mode])
His voice sounded SOOO familiar, yet when I checked the list of shows he'd been in, I noticed I didn't know him. Until I realized why it sounded so familiar. To me it has a HUGE resemblence to Yamaguchi Kappei (there's NO WAY you don't know him although he was big in the 90s, he's done Ranma and L for example - among trillions of other famous roles).

My two favorite characters: *points up to the left screencap* *voicegasm* ;P ......

Story:
"Ever since he was a child, fifteen-year-old Souma Yukihira has helped his father by working as the sous chef in the restaurant his father runs and owns. Throughout the years, Souma developed a passion for entertaining his customers with his creative, skilled, and daring culinary creations. His dream is to someday own his family's restaurant as its head chef.
Yet when his father suddenly decides to close the restaurant to test his cooking abilities in restaurants around the world, he sends Souma to Tootsuki Culinary Academy, an elite cooking school where only 10 percent of the students graduate. The institution is famous for its "Shokugeki" or "food wars," where students face off in intense, high-stakes cooking showdowns."

And the best news??? The second season will start at the end of this month (Feb 2016)!!! Can't wait!!!! (*_______*)bbbb

Trailer

Barakamon

Guy with dark hair who looks totally like my "anime type" goes onto a small Okinawa-like island ... = more than enough to get me going! ;)

Story:
"Seishuu Handa is an up-and-coming calligrapher: young, handsome, talented, and unfortunately, a narcissist to boot. When a veteran labels his award-winning piece as "unoriginal," Seishuu quickly loses his cool with severe repercussions.
As punishment, and also in order to aid him in self-reflection, Seishuu's father exiles him to the Goto Islands, far from the comfortable Tokyo lifestyle the temperamental artist is used to. Now thrown into a rural setting, Seishuu must attempt to find new inspiration and develop his own unique art style—that is, if boisterous children (headed by the frisky Naru Kotoishi), fujoshi middle schoolers, and energetic old men stop barging into his house!"

It was quite a nice, heart-warming and funny anime. Not exactly sure whether I should recommend it. The islanders also speak a Japanese dialect (I think some kind of Kyushu-ben?) that might be annyoing. ;P

Trailer

Magi (Season 1 + 2)

Fantasy like this is usually not my thing. I've tried many times, but ... nope.
I don't know why, but I managed to watch both seasons although I did stop a few times in between. I noticed how popular it currently is in Japan.
And now that season 2 ends like ... in the MIDDLE of the story, there's no way I'd NOT watch season 3 once it's out. ;P .....

Story:
"The story follows the travels of a boy named Aladdin around a strange land in which mysterious ruins called dungeons are said to house priceless treasures. Aladdin meets a friend, Alibaba, who strives to conquer a dungeon and obtain its treasures. Through all the meetings and partings he experiences along the way, Aladdin will also learn of his own fate..." (read more)

Yes, Aladdin, Alibaba ... even Sindbad! Never mind.
While the story is not too much different from the typical fantasy plot, there are also things that are more profound and make you think such as slavery, discrimination, racism and such.

Trailer

Noragami (Season 1 + 2)

OMG!!! Like LITERALLY GOD ... "kami"! "Noragami" literally means "stray god".
At first the title caught my attention. I only know the word "noraneko" - stray cats, so I was curious what this could be about.

Right after the first episode I had COMPLETELY fallen for this series!
I don't even know exactly why, but I'm sure you've seen me mention this series somewhere as I'm really into it. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's my favorite, but it's certainly one that gets a lot of attention from me and that already means a lot.
Cannot wait for season 3!!!!

And yet I couldn't find much merchandising while I was in Japan ..... made me sad. This SERIES needs MORE ATTENTION!!! WATCH IT NOW!!!!!~

Story:
"Yato is a minor deity who lacks even a single shrine. In order to build his own shrine, he scrawls his cell number on the wall of a downtown bathroom telling people he will help them in exchange for a 5-yen offering, becoming a self-styled "delivery god." Hiyori, the daughter of a respectable family, is almost killed in a traffic accident, but is rescued by Yato. This causes her to become a "hanyou," a person who can easily lose her soul. She chases Yato down, and they begin to work together. Yato also finds a boy named Yukine who becomes a "sacred treasure" that can be used by a god. The three of them battle "you" who bring harm to humans as Yato's hidden history is gradually revealed." (read more)

First of all, you learn a lot about some of Japan's most famous gods.
Then, there are so many lovable characters.
The drawing style and ESPECIALLY the soundtrack are great.

I even hated Yato's voice actor (thanks to Kuroko no Basuke), but he completely erased that from my memory with this role. Amazing! XD ....

For me the whole idea is rather new. Gods who can resurrect dead souls and make them into weapons at will by giving them names.
I've always been fascinated by those god stories (especially the Roman and Greek ones), so no wonder I'm enjoying this as well.
On top of that we see Yato's journey from his past to now, struggling not to be forgotten.
I like how he's basically a father to Yukine .... their relationship is so precious.

As the story goes on more and more gods pop up and the story becomes more complex and interesting.

Trailer

Vampire Knight (Season 1 +2 )

As mentioned earlier in this entry for some reason I just cannot get into vampire anime series.
I heard a lot of good things about "Vampire Knight" and I knew that Mamo-chan was in there, so I gave it a chance.
I have to admit that it wasn't all that bad. Needless to say that I completely fell for Zero (just CANNOT resist Mamo-chan .... I mean, who can?) ....

Still am hesitant about recommending it. *shrugs*
Maybe if you're not into vampire stories, leave it be. ;P

Story:
"Cross Academy is an elite boarding school with two separate, isolated classes: the Day Class and the Night Class. On the surface, Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu are prefects of the academy, and attempt to keep order between the students as classes rotate in the evenings. As the Night Class is full of utterly gorgeous elites, this can sometimes prove to be a bit difficult. It is completely necessary, however, as those "elites" are actually vampires. Yuuki and Zero act as guardians, protecting the secrets of the Night Class and the safety of their ignorant morning counterparts." (read more)

And that's it.
I'm actually already watching new series that I haven't mentioned here. And I know I've forgotten a few, but at least I've finally updated here as much as possible. ^___^
I'm eagerly waiting for the continuation of VARIOUS series, so many that I cannot even recall all of them ... Baby Steps, Yowamushi Pedal, Chihayafuru the next season of various series mentioned here ..... so while waiting I'm peeking into other series.
I hope next time I can update in a timely manner, so I can write a bit more for each series the way they'd deserve it. Bear with this "short" summary this time, please. ^^;

Have you seen any of the mentioned series?
What are your thoughts??
Any recommendations for me?
Can't wait to chat with you about it! :33333

[identity profile] pknumba1.livejournal.com 2016-02-13 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
The live action of Kimi ni Todoke was really cute. Especially since Haruma Miura plays Shota. :)

I'll watch season 2 of Noragami as soon as I can find it!

[identity profile] chochajin.livejournal.com 2016-02-13 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Hehe, I know and I like him quite a lot. :3
You make me wanna watch it soon! ^___^

Good choice. :D

[identity profile] pknumba1.livejournal.com 2016-02-13 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I highly recommend it then if you really like him and the story. :D I enjoyed it.
