[Japan Photos]: Saitama, Yumi-chan's house, cars, flight, random things!~

Okay,

I'm kind of in a hurry, but as I don't know when I will have internet access again, I figured it might be a good idea to throw the (probably) last few photos of our Japan trip at you right NOW! (^^'')

Although they're pretty random, I hope you enjoy them nevertheless.
So here we go~

So let's start in Saitama! I stayed there during my 3rd week at Yumi-chan's home!
It's a little bit outside of Tokyo, depending on where exactly in Saitama you are.

And ... "they" were EVEN THERE!! ;o; .... XD

I just took some random photos on my way to the station each day (^^')

And again some cute signs! (^^)

And that was my room @ Yumi-chan's.

Yumi-chan's mom gave me her notebook for that 1 week (^-^)>

And that's how narrow the corridor was!!! (O____o'')

Toilet and ...

... toilet slippers XD

Bathroom + washing machine o__o; ... pretty narrow! (^^')

Storage space BELOW the kitchen floor, because there's no space elsewhere.

Japanese-style bedroom of Yumi-chan's parents. Yumi-chan and me had "normal beds" though (^^)>

Okay, now some random "car photos" XDDDD Japanese cars are really cute! XD

So tiny! (*__*)

Nice color (°_O)

Aaand~ another cute truck! ^^

YAY! BMW spotted (^-^'')>

There were quite a lot of German cars by the way! Especially BMW, Mercedes Benz and VW! (^-^')

This is so interesting! I asked Yumi-chan what this is and she told me that you have to pay for parking there and only then this thing will go down and let you drive away! AWESOME! They should do this in Germany as well XD ... there are so many people who don't pay for parking although they should XD

I just like the shape of most Japanese cars (^-^)

HOMG! I am in love! A lightblue VW Käfer!!!!! And the steering wheel was on the "Japanese side"! XDDDD KYAAH! Me wants!!!!! <3333

Okay some more random shots:

I can't remember if I've already posted this one or not, but who cares?? XD ... *ahem* ... Japanese-style toilet! And I managed to never ever use one!! Haha! ... (.__.)> ....

I totally love these thingies! You just put your hands in there and one second later they're DRY!!!
I mean we DO have this stuff in Germany as well, but usually it takes HOURS until your hands get dry (T__T) ....

Do I see Fuji-san there? (>.o)

This one as well as the following photos were taken out of trains, so the quality is not the best, sorry! (^^')>

Uhm .... Fuji-sa ...n??! ... That was on our way from Kyoto to Tokyo by shinkansen.

Still on our way to Tokyo. It's Shin-Yokohama ^^

Random JR train passing by.

Uhm .... Fuujii-saaan???! (Am I getting on your nerves? XD)

Now some photos of Narita airport and the flight etc. Most of those photos were taken by [livejournal.com profile] hesaki who left Japan 1 week before me!
I didn't take any photos on my return flight, I was too tired XD

Our arrival at Kansai International Airport

Narita! ^-^

Bye, bye Japan!~

Jajaaaaan~ and that's IT!!!! I think ... (^-^')>

Hope you liked all of the photos and thanks for your lovely comments all the time!

P.S.: I (hopefully XD) will write a proper "goodbye entry" later, but right now I'm still a little bit busy (^^')>

Bye-cha~

Wieder einmal wunderschöne Fotos!
Und ich habe vor diesen Toiletten auch Angst, wüsste nicht wie ich die 'benutzen' soll (also fachgerecht xD)

[identity profile] bf-nightingale.livejournal.com 2008-02-28 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Mist. Irgendwo spätestens ab dem Shin-Yokohama-Schild habe ich wieder ein unerträgliches Fernweh bekommen.;_; So richtig mit ziehendem Herzen und all dem Kram. *headdesk* Naja, bis September muss ich noch durchhalten...;>_> *dich beneid, weil du übermorgen schon in Japan sein wirst - oder morgen abend schon?* Du hast es mir zwar schon gesagt, aber nimmst du einen Direktflug oder wo machst du Zwischenlandung?^^;

You took so many pictures.
There's just so much to see and do in Japan.

*is jealous*

One day I will certainly visit (but that probably won't be enough.)

Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your experience in Japan with us. ^__^

[identity profile] clouchette.livejournal.com 2008-02-28 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
The last photos in the plane made me feel sad, it was as if the one who was leaving Japan was me. XDD
(ToT)
Anyway, thank you for all those pics! I really enjoyed watching them. :)

[identity profile] yukikyo.livejournal.com 2008-02-28 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow! Thank you for that insite into a Japanese house!
I never noticed how "small" Japan is. Everything is so compact. Its Kawaii. haha.
I want to go more than ever now. i wanted to cry when you left. haha.

Japan is so small, lol. But the shapes of the cars are super cute! So sad this is the end of the pictures. Thank you so much for all those pictures your took, it really gave me a look into Japan. I'll have to wait a bit more than a year to go but it's okay, these pictures gave me some strength, it was like looking through a window.

[identity profile] chibi-bijutsu.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 01:53 am (UTC)(link)

Didn't know toilet slippers existed! xD
Wow! storage space below! xD That's so cool.
Japanese cars are interesting! xD
If I ever go to Japan I don't think I'll be able to use the Japanese-style toilets. XD I don't understand them~~~

Wow, it was a blast looking at all your photos~!!! <333

[identity profile] miss-dian.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
And thank you for sharing these pics! They have been great! And Yumi-chan's house is lovely and even seems quite large for the average Japanese home :)

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_findrach/ 2008-02-29 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow your pictures are so nice! I never managed to take pictures of the things around me when I was there. It was always a kind of 'it'll be there tomorrow' thing and then I'll forget to take a picture of it. :3

Oh the light blue car you took a picture of? Thats a Toyota Crown! Its kinda like the standard model for taxis in Singapore! Except the taxi companies have it in a deeper blue. :D

Its really interesting to see how fascinated you are by Japanese cars! Haha. Japanese cars are so popular here that it wasn't an attraction for me there. I drive a Honda Civic and our steering wheels are on the right too! :DDDD

Have fun at your job in Yamaguchi! Take lotsa pictures and share it with us, your stalkers! :))))))

[identity profile] evilblueberry.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
wow ur friend's house looks tiny. The toilet looks so fancy lol I want one! (Just so I can play with the buttons on the side and go "oh! what's this do?!" lol)

Anyways hope u have/had a safe trip!

[identity profile] rainsokooshie.livejournal.com 2008-03-01 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Your entry was interesting as always! And informative! Wow, Japan has a lot of cute stuff - especially the tiny cars and the cool electronic stuff!!

How was your work experience there though?

[identity profile] manyak.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 07:41 am (UTC)(link)
Haiku:

Invisible in winter rain and mist.
Still a joy is Fuji -
to this Fujiist!

Basho.

But this haiku in Russian sounds better ^^;

Туман и осенний дождь.
Но пусть невидима Фудзи,
Как радует сердце она!

Басё.

(Mist and autumn rain.
But may Fujisan is invisible
It gladden Hart!

- my ungainly translation)

Atashi moooo XDDD
