Finally. The FMA manga is out in Germany ! Of course I couldn´t resist and had to buy it ^____^;

I really like the German version ! I really do !! The translation is very good, they did not translate the words "Fullmetal Alchemist" into a stupid German version I´m so glad :) ... the Hommunculi do have their original names (e.g. "Lust", "Gluttony" ...) and NOT the German words for the sins ^^ that´s good !
And I like what Planet Manga did, cuz they always leave the Japanese 'comic noises' ('patta', 'pon' and stuff) and only put the German version next to it in a smaller version :) that´s VERY good ..... I can learn more Japanese 'comic noises' (?) this way ^^/


I really hope that they will release volume 3+, too ! *sigh* :/ ......
The manga costs almost 8€ that´s about 10$ (How much does it cost in the USA ?!? I´m just curious ^^)

in the US, I think it costs around $10.95 or $9.95, but I think it varies around the US. I know Canada, it's mega expensive there. Whew. --;

But I like the german one. The black cover is way better than the silver cover, in my opinion.

8€... die werden alle echt immer teurer... °_°; *an gute alte 5€-Zeiten zurückdenk* Aber ich hatte schon Angst, die würden solche Sachen wie "Fullmetal Alchemist" direkt übersetzen ^^'
Also empfehlenswert? Gut, dann werd ich wohl mal demnächst schaun (auch wenn ich gar keinen Platz mehr hab XD)

Ähm ja in der Tat, die werden immer teurer (;__;) .. und es gibt nicht einmal Farbseiten, die das rechtfertigen würde, aber ich LIEBE FMA, da zahle ich diesen Preis sogar gerne :)
Und ja KAUFEN ! Damit die bei Planet Manga sehen wie groß die Nachfrage ist und damit Band 3 aufwärts auch erscheinen *Hände reib* hähä~ (^^;)

Hmm.. I know that here in the UK, the manga costs about £5.24 - it's cheaper if you buy it from Amazon.co.uk though. I'm waiting for volumes 8+9 'cuz I like buying them in bulk ^^;

Ja ok, das war das EINZIGE, was mich ein wenig gestört hat - bisher hat er immer von "Ed" oder "Edward" gesprochen, aber "Bruder" würde vielleicht blöd klingen ... OPTIMAL wäre wohl einfach "Nii-san" gewesen ^^;

Aaaaargh. Schade. Dabei wurden doch in deutschen Übersetzungen schon die japanischen Bezeichnungen verwendet >_>. Ja, stimmt, das mit dem "Bruder"... "brother" im Englischen geht ja noch, aber im Deutschen würd's behämmert klingen o_o. Da wär Nii-san wohl definitiv die beste Lösung. Naja, man kann sich an alles gewöhnen >_> und wenn die Umsetzung sonst gut ist, was sie zu sein scheint :D dann yay.

Vielleicht kommt das mit "Nii-san" noch und wenn nicht - solange DAS das einzige Problem ist, will ich mich sicher nicht beschweren ^__^b wir haben schon Schlimmeres erleben müssen
Jetzt heißt es nur noch hoffen, dass die nicht nach 2 Bänden Schluß machen wollen (;__;)

xD That's awesome. I've always loved to imagine Ed speaking German. He's got to be great at it. It's just his attitude, you know? And how German sound so harsh. My german isn't great, so, how would something like "WHO'REYOUCALLINGAMOUSESOSMALLACATWULDN'TBOTHERCHASINGIT?!" go in German? It's fun trying to think of all the spazzy-Ed things that can be said in german.

But Ed is just great in flipping out about being called a "dwarf" in German, too ! XD

Ich weiß was du meinst! Ich will sehr gern mein Deutsch praktizierend. Ich kann sehr gut sprechen (meine deutsche Partnerin sagt das oft), aber Lesen ist ein bisschen schwiergig noch. Hoffentlich kommt die Manga bald nach Amerika. ^_^

O.O Dude!! I was in Germany this summer and was really disappointed when they didn't have this! Where in the world can I buy it and have it shipped to the US??

And the mangas in the US tend to run at about $10 a piece. A bit more when you add the tax, but I didn't think we were talking specifics. ;P

Also so wie ich dem Post hier entnehmen konnte is der Manga ziemlich gut übersetzt gemacht *__* ich mag zwar den schriftzug für den Manga nicht und ich kanne s fats nicht ertragen dass Al-chan nicht "Bruder" zu Ed sagt (ehm... so böse würde es nicht klingen find ich...) aber sonst sieht es doch ganz gut aus.

Immerhin die 8€ tun mir jetz nicht so weh, is ja immerhin Hagaren und dann verzichte ich gern auf essen dafür ♥

Der Stählerne Alchemist wäre wirklich böse gewesen...

Das mit dem "Bruder" ist bisher aber wirklich das einzige Manko :)
Roy heißt "Flame Alchemist" (!), sie sprechen von Transformationen und .. naja gut von Synthesen :)
"Stein der Weisen" aber das war ja bei Harry Potter genauso und ich finde es passt ja auch perfekt. Und Ed nimmt wie gesagt kein Blatt vor den Mund wie im Original auch: Es wird geflucht (v.a. wenn er mal wieder als klein bezeichnet wird) "Halt´s Maul" ist da keine Seltenheit.
Ich freu mich auf Band 2 im November :)

*starry eyes* Oh pretty! The Fullmetal Alchemist manga looks great in German. ^^ I actually like the German covers better than the English version, there all shiny and silver. XD And I like it better when they leave the Japanese comic noises in the books too, that way there more like the originals. ^^

In the U.S. the manga costs around $9.99, and I think its almost $14 in Canada. Thats a lot for manga too. XD
