[Conclusion]: Death Note - The END

Hey there!~

I´ve finally finished the Death Note manga yesterday night and now I want to write down what I think about the end and about the whole series.

So if you haven´t finished the manga yet, just ignore this entry!!!!!

MAJOR MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD!!!


So, I finally finished this series. It was pretty fast, but I couldn´t resist, because I wanted to know how it ends (T___T)

Of course I was very upset after chapter 58 (?) ... the death of L.
I always thought maybe this was a trick of L and he will appear again at the end of the manga telling Raito and everyone that this was also part of his investigation. I REALLY thought so ... or at least I hoped for it to happen (.____.) *sigh*

... So I personally didn´t like the story after chapter 58 very much. Of course there were still some interesting scenes and it was still exciting, but I don´t like Mello and Near! Not one bit!!!
It´s not because they want to catch Kira and are very good at it, because L was like that as well .... he just had bad luck if you ask me! Near would have been dead if Remu was still alive at that time and if we had the same situation. I mean Raito threatening Remu through Misa.
That´s why I don´t think that Near is sooooooooooooooo much better than L. Is he? .. NO!
Furthermore ... he´s somehow really getting on my nerves. He´s just a little brat ....
L and Raito were pretty much the same age and level, so it was much more fun to watch those 2!

The actual end:
Well ... I already knew that Near would win .... I only wanted to know HOW it actually would happen ..... Well Raito was overconfident and so it serves him right.
I was thinking the whole time: "Baka, BAKA!" It´s obvious that Near already is one step ahead of you, GET THAT ALREADY!!!! ...
For being this overconfident and stupid at the end .... especially depending on Mikami too much ... it serves him right.
Still ... I´m not very satisfied with the end, I guess. ....
On the other hand, how else could it have ended? ....
Well I guess I expected a pretty "evil" ending, where Raito beats Near and we only see how everything´s going on. TEH END!

But this end was more convincing. Like Ryuuku said: the Death Note owners all ended up like that more or less.
How can you kill people like that and lead a happy life after that? So it makes sense.

I guess I would be more satisfied with Near dead as well. (sorry if there are any Near fans here XD)
Furthermore WHAT´S WITH MISA???????? They only told us that Mikami commited suicide in prison, but what about Misa???? OOOI?! Isn´t that important?
How lucky she is if they left her alone. CAN´T BE!!!!

But one other thing: Shouldn´t she be dead already? She´s shortened her life-span two times !!! (o__O)> .....

And btw. I guess if Raito wouldn´t have been so overconfident he might have gotten the Shinigami eyes and then he could have won. ....
What´s the use of NOT shortening your life-span if you´ll die anyway if you DON´T have the eyes (T__T) ... aaah~ moou~

Well at the end I think it´s good that there´s not really a "wrong or right".
Matsuda is discussing this with Ide in the car.
I guess that´s the main topic in this manga anyway?!

Furthermore! We all have seen how Raito IS like without (memories of) the death note!!!!
I guess if it wasn´t him who found the notebook, but someone else, Raito would have joined the investigation sooner or later and would have tried to catch Kira together with L.
But because there are not many people out there as sharp as Raito. L and Raito would have cought that Kira pretty fast and everything would have been fine. Don´t you think so?


Well how can I like an end where BOTH MY FAV CHARAS aren´t alive anymore??? :/ ......

I´ve also watched the 1st Death Note movie so far. (Dead or alive)
I still don´t like the actor they´ve chosen for Raito ... but the Shinigami are well-made and I LOVE L somehow XDDDDD
I also love that they´ve changed the story a bit, otherwise it would have been boring.
Now I finally can watch the 2nd movie!! I´m looking forward to it ^__^
(and KYAH Inui is Matsudaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!! .... That´s the first time (I think) that I´ve seen a Tenimyu star in a drama/movie!!!) XDDDDDDD


I´ve started to watch the anime. Only the first 2 episodes so far.
ZOMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! L = Yamaguchi Kappei!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh!!!!!
As I AAALWAYS tell you he´s following me! HE´S EVERYWHERE!! I recognize his voice right away! Usually I don´t even need to hear his voice! A sigh is enough to recognize him! AAAAH!!
But I think he´s quite fitting for L considering he´s also Shinichi Kudou´s voice in Conan ^^
Well .. I have to watch more of it :)
Raito´s voice is good as well (didn´t know that his seiyuu was in Tenimyu!!)

er..the manga isn't really saying that Near is smarter than L. I think Near actually said (somewhere ^_^') that if it's not because of Mello he wouldn't have caught L. And that the two of them inherited L's characteristics. I think he said that the two of them combined (N & M) is like L catching Kira himself.

That's why he was wearing an L mask. ^_^'

Oh well yes Near SAYS at the very end that he was only able to win because of Mello. But that doesn´t change the fact that he said at the beginning that he´s not going to end like stupid L (well nor word for word, but that´s more or less what he said).
At the end he says that he admires the former L, but it didn´t seem to be like it before that.
And pleeeeeeeeeease just let me hate Near, pleeease!!! XDDDDDDD *lol*

I still miss L (T_____T) ... all of them had their special .. "habits" ... like near with his LEGO toys or what it was and Mello with his chocolate, but L was just .... AAAAHH!!! (*____*) ...

I didn´t mind Near wearing the L mask btw. ;)

Das L gestorben ist hat mich auch sehr überrascht.. und das er nicht mehr wiederkommt.. wann stirbt schon mal ein Hauptchara?! ôo
Mit Mello und Near kann ich mich auch nicht so anfreunden.. L hatte wirklich einfach nur Pech, außerdem hab ich das Pairing L und Raito geliebt!! *.* Beide in Handschellen, wo sie sich kloppen.. XDD So geil!! ^^

Und zu den Filmen, den Raito Darsteller kann ich auch irgendwie nicht leiden. Im 2. Teil war es sogar noch schlimmer.. und ich weiß gar nicht warum... es lag irgendwie im Gesicht.. ^^; Aber der L darsteller göttlich!! *.*
Und den Matsuda Darsteller.. LOL.. ich mußte immer an Tenimyu denken, wenn ich ihn sah. Immer!! ^^;

Ja (.__________.) ... Ich hab´s am Anfang echt nicht glauben können und gedacht, das ist nur ein Trick .. aber dann kam ja unmittelbar die Ansage "4(?) Jahre später" .... trotzdem hab ich immer drauf gehoffe, dass L wieder auftaucht ;__;
JAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Ich kann dir da mit allem nur voll und ganz zustimmen *breit grins* L x Raito ist einfach nur toll (T___T) .... dieses Hass-Liebe oder wie auch immer man das bezeichnen soll ... oder das Tennismatch war auch toll XDDDD

The manga ending is.. well, sucks in a way.. It took me weeks to get it over it and then I started thinking "hmmm what's a better way to end it?" and I couldn't come up with anything so I was like ok whatever XD

L is about 6 years older than Light actually. Raito's seiyuu in the anime is Tamaki from Ouran High School XD Yup!

You need to watch DN Movie 2, it has a different ending then the manga so you may like it better ^_^.

Yeah he´s cute and with his anime voice ALTHOUGH it´s Yamaguchi Kappei ;P he´s kind of sexy and cool as well! I´ve NEVER heard Yamaguchi talk like that! He´s got rather a deep voice there, so I LOVE it! I can´t wait to watch and especially HEAR more of the anime (*__*)
EEH?! Really? That´s Tamaki´s voice??? And I thought I´ve heard it before, but TAMAKI?? AAAHHH XDDDDD

Ja, genauso habe ich auch reagiert und bis zuletzt gehofft, dass das doch noch Ls ultimativer Plan war, aber dann kam dieses "...und ein paar Jahre später" und ich so WÄÄÄÄH!;___;

Nya, meine Meinung zu Near und Mello kennst du ja (an Near finde ich das einzige positive seinen richtigen Namen, "Nate", mein langjähriger RL-Spitzname!:D). Ich habe ehrlich gesagt keine Ahnung, was alle an Mello so "hot" finden, und Near ist für mich ein noch schrägerer Vogel als L. Aber da L ein so ungewöhnlich neuer Held war mit seinen Neurosen, wirkte diese Lego- und Schokoladenmanie und der Rest für mich nur wie ein Abklatsch von L.:-/
Naja, alles in allem bin ich der Ansicht, dass Ls Tod vollkommen verzeihbar gewesen wäre, wenn die weitere Handlung dafür noch spannender und genauso gut durchdacht worden wäre, aber da ich zumindest Lights Charaentwicklung danach regelrecht für den Arsch finde - über Near und Mello habe ich ja auch so schon genug gemeckert - ist die Serie für mich nach Folge 58 leider mit L mitgestorben.^^; Den zweiten Film und den Anime müsste ich allerdings trotzdem noch schauen, aber erst schau ich mir den Anime an, den ich gerade gestern fertig runtergeladen haben.:)

Ich hab gesehen, dass die Leute in einer Death Note community sogar ausgerechnet haben, wann Near sterben wird XDDDD .. scheinbar gibt´s ein System wie man die Zahlen, die ein Shinigami sieht in Jahre umrechnen kann XD und irgendwo meinten sie, der würde eh nur noch 23 Jahre alt werden XDD .... Nein, ich bin nicht schadenfroh (.___.)> ....

Lass mal hören, was du von den Anime hältst, wenn du damit angefangen hast ! :)
Ich bin ja auch noch nicht weit ;) aber ich glaube nicht, dass der Anime vom Manga abweicht, also kann ich mich da zurücklehnen bis ca. Folge 25, ich glaube das entspricht ungefähr Chapter 58 (T____T) .... *sigh*

Na so schlimm ist es noch nicht, dass ich sein Todesalter ausrechne, aber gut, vielleicht bin ich auch nur deshalb so gelassen, weil ich das Ende schon seit langem kenne und somit drüber hinweggekommen bin?^^;
Übrigens musst du un-be-dingt Monster lesen/schauen, ich bin wirklich gespannt, was du davon hälst! Und vor allem ist die Serie als Vergleich zu Death Note wirklich hochinteressant, wenn die Perspektive auch von einem vollkommen anderen Blickwinkel als DN ist.:)

Den Anime hatte ich in etwa bis Folge (plus minus) 7 gesehen, allerdings die Raws. Wie gesagt, ich müsste mal wieder dran denken die runterzuladen.^^; *hat gerade angefangen Master Keaton zu schauen, eine andere Serie vom "Monster"-Mangaka* Ich denke allerdings auch, dass sie da wenig verändert haben werden, vermutlich nur gekürzt. Ah, doch, neulich flog da so ein Schnipsel vom Anime rum, das eine *hust hust* ziemlich slashige Szene zwischen L und Light gezeigt hat, die ich nicht vom Manga her kannte!*___* Zwar "nur" auf der üblichen Gefühlsebene, aber trotzdem...*_____* *QUIIIIEEEEK* *Link ausbuddel*

Das hattest du mir glaub ich schon mal empfohlen XD Und ich hab den Anime (nicht komplett) auch schon seit JAHREN rumliegen, aber ich wollte eigentlich warten bis ich den komplett habe (^^;) .... aber ich glaube, das wird der nächste "größere" Anime, den ich anfange :) .... und ich bin zu faul für den Manga im Moment (.___.)> .... Ich lass mich zur Zeit lieber "berieseln" ;)

Ich persönlich würde dir auch eher zum Anime raten.:) Er ist praktisch 1:1 zum Manga, mir wäre keine einzige Szene aufgefallen, die wirklich gekürzt oder weggelassen worden wäre. (was vermutlich URselten bei einem Anime ist!♥) Und dazu hast du ihn in Farbe und mit Ton, was auch noch einmal eine gewisse Stimmung mit sich bringt. Nur die wenigen Szenen mit Johann finde ich im Manga fast noch faszinierender, aber das ist Geschmackssache.^__^

Nee, das ist schon weiter als Folge 7, Folge 7 war in etwa die Folge, ab der ich keine Zeit mehr fürs Schauen hatte.^^; Aber da bezweifle einer noch mal, dass diese (Hass-)Liebe Canon ist!*____*

i read the manga! but i stopped after L died. T_T it seemed meaningless to continue ever since then. >_> its like.. "omft what new characters phail" hahaha. xD;;

and the movieee! everyone's hoping for a second installation but i think its best that it stops at 2. >_<;; i can't imagine what the next movie wld be on. T_T;

Me and some other people as well always thought that L might re-appear and that his death was only a trick ... so of course I read the whole damn thing ... (T___T) ....

I´m going to watch the first half of the 2nd movie later (^^;) .. I´m really looking forward to it ! (*___*)
