Waaah you really got to see a lot that day :) I love the winter photos, especially of the icicles, and the cove! I agree, it really looks like it's taken out of Narnia ^_^
I've heard Nagano prefecture gets quite a lot of snow, (I've watched a lot of Japan skiing programs... some guys had their car all covered in snow just over the night! And I mean completely hidden in snow, not just snow you brush off XD) It looks really pretty with trees covered in it though!

How cool you met some nice people as well :) That is what I like about traveling solo, you get to talk to lots of new people that you otherwise wouldn't if you had friends/family with you.
