I was there in November 2013. I only had a day and no car, so I skipped Onioshidashi Park. I was staying in Takasaki and went to Haruna jinja, which I really liked [the hike and the temple].
One of the problems with Fuji is obviously the fact that vapors and clouds tend to rise around it in the afternoon.
