I like to think of America as one big country with a bunch of smaller countries inside. Almost like it's own continent. People are different in the north and the south as far as personality goes. Also, each state has different laws from each other, but have the same general rules. Speeding on the freeway is one thing. It's 70 mph where I live (or 112 kph), but most people drive 5 miles above that (like me) or they tend to go a little faster. It's smarter to keep up with the flow of traffic anyway. In a neighboring state, the speed laws are much more strict and are at 65 instead of 70. If you drive faster than that, you'll get pulled over. The police tend to let you go in my state if you go 5 above but be smart if you go faster. As long as you aren't driving recklessly. The speed law is more like a guideline.
