Okay,
So after Poupéegirl it seems I've found another addictingfucking time-consuming Japanese "online game".

It's probably a modern version of a PC "Tamagochi"! Not as addicting as Poupéegirl (yet!), but really very cute and thus maybe interesting for some of you.
There are even some similarities to Poupéegirl as you will see later on.
I registered (free!) yesterday and decided to write a short "review".
And yes I really don't have any time and trying out new addicting online games doesn't really help!!!

The website is completely in Japanese (there seems to be a Taiwanese version as well, though), but still quite easy to navigate.
I'll try to explain the most important points here, but if you still need help, there's also a community especially for this game here on LJ:
meropar

Right after registration you'll see a really cute animated (flash??) "story" about how "meros" were born and all XD

That ojisan dude is really cute and funny and at first will help you to understand how to use "meropark" ^-^

At first you can choose one of those "babies". I decided to start with the white one as it looked cute, but it seems the other ones will be way cuter after growing up (;o;) ........

That's what mine will evolve to eventually. There are tons of variations, though! And when I say TONS, I mean TONS!!!

More information and screencaps can be found here (it's all in Chinese, but you'll go there for the pictures only anyway ^^; ...)
Or have a look at this one on LJ (very basic, but in English).

The blue baby (which I ALMOST chose) will evolve like this.
It seems that you only can choose between the three baby types you see above (white, blue and red) as beginner. Other baby forms are way cuter, though, and you'll be able to get one of those once your first generation is finished (^-^')>

That's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo adorable!!! (*___*)

Teddybear (*_____*)v
Anyway there are various cute meros waiting for you, so don't worry (^ー^* )フフ♪

I just want to show and explain the basics. So what you see in the screenshot is "your home".
That's where your mero lives, sleeps, eats etc.
You should feed it every day. Down on the right side of the screen you see some buttons with different colors and pictures, right?
Let's start with the one on the left, the green one with the melon picture. If you click on it you can feed your mero. Of course you have to buy the food. There are 2 different types of foods: "mood food" and "growth food". More about this topic can be found here.
But where to get the money for the food? No problem!! (^-^')
Similar to poupéegirl there's different ways to "earn money". Here "pearls" and "gold hearts".
Some ways to "earn" pearls:
- They will just appear in your "home", so just click on them.
- Best option is to "go and play with other meros". For that you have to go to the Mero Onsen (see below) and exchange "meroshi" (= a short greeting).

Just click on somebody and then both, you and the other person will go to the other person's home. Then click on your own "mero" and it will greet the other one.
(Hint: There are some meros who have sparkling stars around their head. If you click on them and follow them, you'll get 50 pearls!!!!! They are newly born 1st generation meros, so use this chance!!! *___*)

Me is the tiny guy on the right. Yeah, it already evolved yesterday (^-^'')
As you can see each "home" looks different. That's because you can buy furniture and stuff to make your home as cute as possible:

If you want to change your furniture just click on the "blue button" next to the "pink ribbon button" (please refer to the screenshot of my home some photos above).
If you want to dress up your mero, then click on the "pink ribbon button" instead. You also can buy "outfits", of course.

There also seem to be special events just like at Poupéegirl.
Next to the "blue furniture button" is another blue button with a sponge, right? With that you can wash your mero! It's soooo cute (*__*)v
The next button with the black "drop" is a "free market" kind of thing where you and other users can sell furniture and clothes in order to earn more pearls :)
The other 2 buttons are not so important, but just so you know: The one with the door let's you go out for shopping or to the onsen. The "gold heart" one leads you to a bank where you can buy "gold hearts" and other things related to "gold hearts". But don't worry there are other ways to get "gold hearts". One example: Once a day you can click on the huge frog at the onsen and it will give you a present, that might be "gold hearts" (I got 2 today) or food (got yesterday) or whatever ^-^; So don't forgot to click once a day!! :)

When you look at the "my home" screencap from before again you'll notice that there is also a calendar. If you see a green melon over a number that means that you fed your mero that day, the pink ribbon means you dressed it up that day. Do both every day because it seems like you'll get a bonus if you do so. As I just started yesterday, I can't confirm it yet XDDDD
The status bars on the left show you growth (the grey one), health degree (beans) and cleanliness level (drops XD).
There are also some small buttons below those status bars. The first one will lead you to your blog (if you set up one, I use my twitter account), the next one is to teach your mero new greetings in order to greet others when meeting them in their room, then there is the "blog tool" tingie if you want to embed mero into your blog (not possible here on LJ as it uses Javascript), the camera symbol means you can take photos with it (see above), actually one per day will be saved, very cute option! The next button lets you browse through your photos. The last button is only interesting if you've got more than one generation already as it'll show you your family (see also below).
Above all those status bars you can see my username (電車女) and the name of my current mero (ビビチバビチブ). Also you'll see which generation it is, mine is new (初代), but if it's already your 3rd mero, there will be a 3代 instead.

If you have some more generations of meros it will look like this. This was when I visited the home of somebody else. You can even click on former generations and they will come and appear in the room ... kind of scary, but cute!!!! XDDDD So if somebody has over 10 generations it will get kind of crowded, I guess XD ... but it is a great opportunity for photos!! (*___*)v
There's one more thing next to the very small buttons at the left bottom -> "actions". If you click it you'll get something like this:

Your mero has to learn different actions. That will happen naturally and you don't have to do much for it (as far as I understand it). You'll get hints when you go to the onsen and by doing all the stuff I mentioned earlier your mero will learn more and more (later even how to fart - I heard XD ....) - cute, huh? XD

When others visit your home in order to leave a "meroshi" (greet you in order to earn pearls) they also can leave you a note in your notebook which looks like this. You can return the favor by going to their home and do the same.

You also can see who and how many people visited your home for "meroshi". Quite a lot yesterday as I was a baby and everybody could get 50 pearls for "meroshi-ing" me XDDDD

If you forget to wash your mero it will end up like the meros in the pictures above (x____X) ... XD

You can also check what words your mero learned. Of course the words you taught him as "greeting", but it will also pick up words from your blog (if you set one up) - so your mero might end up talking a lot of cute or random stuff that doesn't even make sense XDDD

There are other places you can reach from the onsen where you can meet others, chat, find friends (you can add friends) and so on.

It'll look like that. You can type/say something etc. It's also another good opportunity to take a nice snapshot/photo of the day.
More about the different places and what you can do there can be found here.
If you decide to join, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!
I'll send you an invitation e-mail!!! As I just started I don't know the benifits yet,but if it's like Poupéegirl then we'll both profit by it (*_______*)v EDIT: There are not benifits it seems ... well other than that we're automatically added as friends which is nice as well. If you want to join Poupéegirl, then please also let me know. You'll get a dress-up item as present and 30 ribbons as present (= money at Poupéegirl).
Also, I have no friends there yet, so if you already are a member feel free to add me (^-^)v(Although I do NOT intend to use it on a daily basis, study study studyyyyyyyyy arrrrgh!!!)
And now I have to hit myself for yet digging up another (too cute) time-consuming website.
